Expert Use Only

It is up on the internet, so it is hard to say it is exclusively for “expert use only”. Anyone is welcome to read this section. That being said, much of the writing in this section is geared towards individuals with some base understanding of the tree service industry. The purpose of this section is to zoom out to 30,000 feet (or 9.144km since I’m up here in Canada) so that we can gain a better picture of the tree industry as a whole.

I have no special titles that grant me a greater authority to write the things found in this section. I do have some experience though. I bring over 20 years involved directly in what is termed the green industry (previous life was as a landscaper), 12 of those years have been specifically working with trees.

What I am more proud of than the time in the industry are the thousands of customers that I have met with to understand more deeply how to care for them and their trees.

This section draws upon all those many conversations and tree assessments. That and way too much time daydreaming on the topic of urban trees.
